Künker sale 264, lot 3805

This specimen was lot 3805 in Künker sale 264 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €3,000 (about US$3,876 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SACHSEN, KURFÜRSTENTUM Friedrich August I. 1694-1733 (August der Starke). Dukat 1712, Leipzig. GOLD. RR Attraktives Exemplar, fast vorzüglich. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, Augustus the Strong, 1694-1733, ducat of 1712, Leipzig mint. Rare, attractive choice extremely fine.)"

This rare type is listed for 1702 and 1712. It was accompanied by a double ducat (Fr-2804).
