This specimen was lot 3537 in Goldberg sale 78 (Los Angeles, January 2014), where it sold for $258.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Russia. 2 Kopeks, 1814/3-ЕМ НМ. Alexander I. Trace of mint red. NGC graded MS-62 Brown." This type was struck in large numbers 1810-30 at Ekaterinburg (shown here) Izhora, Kolyvan and St. Petersburg but few survive in nice condition.
Recorded mintage: 110,000,000.
