The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Mauritius|MAURITIUS]]: George V, 1910-1936, AE cent, 1922, NGC graded MS64 BR." This type was struck 1911-12, 1917, 1920-24 in modest numbers and the 1922 is the only common date. It accompanied a bronze [[Mauritius 1923 2 cents|two cents]] and [[Mauritius 1923 5 cents|five cents]]. Silver quarter, half and one rupees were struck for George V but not until 1934.

The second specimen was lot 72186 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[2] noted, "MAURITIUS. Cent, 1922. London Mint.
