This specimen was lot 43154 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $1,320. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. Baroda. Rupee, VS 1949 (1892). Sayaji Rao III (under Victoria as Empress). PCGS MS-64. An pleasing "top pop" example, with this lovely Rupee yielding dusky tone with touches of golden highlights, sharp details, and impressive for the type charm." The SCWC notes this as struck 1891-92 but gives it a fairly low catalog value. Sayaji Rao III (r. 1875-1939) was the twelfth maharaja of Baroda.
