Künker sale 294, lot 3557

This specimen was lot 3557 in Künker sale 294 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €2,800 (about US$3,774 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich Wilhelm III. 1797-1840. 1/2 Friedrichs d'or 1825, A. GOLD. Prachtexemplar. Fast Stempelglanz. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick William III, 1797-1840, half frederick d'or of 1825. Prooflike, about uncirculated.)"

This halb friedrichs d'or accompanied the regular friedrichs d'or (Fr-2429) of 1825-40 but is priced higher.
