This specimen was lot 25164 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $1,175. The catalog description[1] noted, "Zurich. City Taler 1796, MS64 NGC, a lovely piece with aged silvery-gray toning and full mint bloom. Very scarce in this superior quality and completely free of any adjustment marks or other flaws." This type is listed for 1783, 1794 and 1796. In 1798, Zurich was forcibly incorporated into the Helvetian Republic.

Specification: 28.06 g, 0.833 fine silver, 39 mm diameter.
