This specimen was lot 3643 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 17,000 CHF (about US$22,464 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Doppeltaler 1695, Zürich. Sehr selten. Vorzüglich-FDC. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, double thaler of 1695, Zürich mint. Very rare, Extremely fine-uncirculated.)"

This rare issue is the last time Zürich struck this denomination.
