Sincona sale 6, lot 2910

This specimen was lot 2910 in Sincona sale 11 (Zürich, May 2013), where it sold for 150 CHF (about US$186 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich Stadt Taler 1663. Schrötlingsfehler. Sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, thaler of 1663, weakly struck, very fine.)"

This type is listed for 1661-65 and is reasonably common for a Swiss thaler, which still counts as very scarce.
