Sincona sale 47, lot 3068

This specimen was lot 3068 in Sincona sale 47 (Zürich, May 2018), where it sold for 400 CHF (about US$480 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SWITZERLAND, Stadt und Kanton Zürich, Vierteltaler 1652. Vorzüglich. (canton of Zürich, quarter thaler of 1652. Extremely fine.)"

This rare type comes in large (KM 80, 35 mm diameter) and small (KM 81, 31 mm diameter).

Specification: silver, this specimen 8.34 g.
