This specimen was lot 5626 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 2,500 CHF (about US$3,768 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ. Zürich. Stadt und Kanton. Dukat 1649, Zürich. Selten. Fast vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, ducat of 1649, Zürich mint. Rare, About Extremely Fine.)"
This type was struck 1646-50. Later types featured only one lion brandishing a sword. In 1649, the canton coined half (KM 70) and one thalers (Dav-4643) and quarter (Fr-466), half (Fr-465), single and six ducats (Fr-472).
