Sincona sale 102, lot 5609

This specimen was lot 5609 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 350 CHF (about US$528 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

" SCHWEIZ. Zürich. Stadt und Kanton. Taler 1556, Zürich. Münzmeister Hans Gutenson. Sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, thaler of 1556, Zürich mint. Very Fine.)"

Davenport notes this for 1555-58 along with a 1½ thaler and a double thaler. Note the two digit date.
