This specimen was lot 3590 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 300 CHF (about US$397 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Zug, 1/6 Assis 1761, Zug. Grosses geschweiftes Wappen ohne Buchstaben. Wertzahl mit zweizeiliger Inschrift. Darunter die Jahreszahl. Selten. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of Zug, one sixth assis of 1761, Zug mint. Obverse: large curved arms without legends; reverse: value with two line inscription, date below. Rare, Very fine-extremely fine.)"
The SCWC lists this type for 1747-52, 1756-57, 1761-67. Like many low denomination coins, it is common in low grade but rare in choice condition, no contemporaries thinking it worth hoarding. It was equal to the angster (1/600 thaler).
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 0.2 g, billon, 12 mm diameter, this specimen 0.20 g.
