This specimen was lot 8579 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2022), where it sold for $432. The catalog description[1] noted, "YUGOSLAVIA. 5000 Dinara, 1984. PCGS PROOF-69 Deep Cameo. Struck to commemorate the 1984 Winter Olympics. Nearly perfect, this example has hard mirrored surfaces and silky devices." This NCLT was one of a series issued to promote the games held at Sarajevo in February 1984. Other issues included KM 95, 104 (gold 5000 dinara) and KM 92, 102, 103, 109, 110, 116 (silver 500 dinara) and KM 90, 98, 99, 105, 106 (silver 100 dinara). The sporting facilities paid for by the sale of these coins were mostly destroyed in the Bosnian War of 1992-95 and are today abandoned.

Specification: 8 g, 0.900 fine gold, .231 troy oz AGW, 24 mm diameter.
