This specimen was lot 757 in Stacks-Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $646.25. The catalog description^[1] noted, "GERMANY. Wurzburg. Taler, 1794-MP. Franz Ludwig von Erthal (1779-95). NGC AU-58. Well struck. Medium golden toning showing some faint blue highlights. From the Rockaway Collection." This one year type is slightly scarcer than the average thaler from this locale.
