This specimen was lot 77338 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Würzburg. Taler, 1774-W. PCGS AU-50." Adam Frederick was also bishop of Bamberg after 1757. Both territories were annexed to Bavaria in 1803. This type was struck 1773, 1774 and 1777.
Recorded mintage: unknown but somewhat scarce.
