Künker sale 335, lot 4486

This specimen was lot 4486 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €1,800 (about US$2,356 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"WÜRTTEMBERG, WÜRTTEMBERG, HERZOGTUM, SEIT 1806 KÖNIGREICH. Karl Eugen, 1744-1793. Konv.-Taler 1777, Stuttgart. Mit Laubrand. Vorzüglich +. (Germany, duchy of Wurttemberg, Charles Eugene, 1744-93, convention thaler of 1777, Stuttgart mint. Extremely fine or better.)"

This type was also struck in 1779. It is expensive but more available than many other Wurttember thalers of the eighteenth century.
