Wurttemberg 1781-DH thaler Dav-2870
This specimen was lot 4487 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabruck, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €650 (about US$851 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"WÜRTTEMBERG, WÜRTTEMBERG, HERZOGTUM, SEIT 1806 KÖNIGREICH. Karl Eugen, 1744-1793. Konv.-Taler 1781, Stuttgart. Feine Patina, min. Schrötlingsfehler, vorzüglich. (Germany, duchy of Wurttemberg, Charles Eugene, 1744-93, convention thaler of 1781, Stuttgart mint. Fine patina, minor planchet flaws, Extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1781 only. It is expensive but more available than any other Wurttemberg thaler of the eighteenth century.
