This specimen was lot 11086 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Copenhagen, June 2026), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. Wismar. 1/48 Taler, 1695. Wismar Mint. Karl XI. NGC VF-25. Better date. From the L.E. Bruun Collection." Wismar was ceded to Sweden in 1648 and remained until Swedish control until it was sold to the duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin in 1803. Numista lists this as a schilling but a "48" appears on the orb. This type was struck 1663-69, 1692 and 1695 and has a low catalog value.
