This specimen was lot 78281 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $780. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. West Friesland. Ducaton, 1772. Enkhuizen Mint. PCGS EF-45. From the Richard August Collection." Westfriesland struck this denomination throughout the eighteenth century until 1793. This was the largest silver coin and many subtypes exist. This one was struck 1759-62, 1765-74 and is common.
