This specimen was lot 78277 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. West Friesland. 1/2 Rijksdaalder, 1620. Hoorn or Enkhuizen Mint; mm: Rosette. PCGS EF-45. From the Richard August Collection." This type is listed in the SCWC for 1606-25. It does not have a high catalog value but it is very seldom seen compared to the larger Nederlandse rijksdaalder. This is the second one we have posted, after a 1608 from Utrecht.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 14.51 g, 0.885 fine silver.
Catalog reference: KM-13.1; Delm-956.
