Stack's Bowers 2024 NYINC sale, lot 57758

This specimen was lot 57758 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $780. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. West Friesland. Ducat, 1588. PCGS AU-58." Ducats were struck in the seven provinces of the United Netherlands from the 1580's. Friedberg lists this type for 1586-1605.
