This specimen was lot 1687 in Sincona sale 22 (Zürich, May 2015), where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$251 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Waldeck-Pyrmont, Fürstentum, Karl August Friedrich, 1728-1763 Vierteldukat 1741. Sehr schön. (Germany, principality of Waldeck-Pyrmont, Charles Augustus Frederick (1728-63), quarter ducat of 1741. Very fine.)"
This scarce type is noted for 1741, 1760 and 1761. It is the most affordable gold issue of this insignificant principality.
