This specimen was lot 21 in Aurora Numismatica Auction 29 (San Marino, Italy, May 2023), where it did not sell. The lot description noted, "Venezia Giovanni Pesaro (1658-1659) Scudo della croce da 140 Soldi sigle BV, RR Ag mm 44 di qualità eccezionale per il tipo, in Slab NGC MS64 (Top Pop!). (republic of Venice, John Pesaro, 1658-59, scudo of the cross of 140 soldi, initials BV, very rare, exceptional quality for the type, graded NGC MS64.)" It is quite scarce for a Venetian scudo, this being the only issue of this denomination for this doge.
