This specimen was lot 75793 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Venice. 17-1/2 Soldi (1/8 Scudo), ND (1634-35). Venice Mint. Francesco Erizzo. PCGS VF-35." This type was struck 1634-43 with seven different mintmasters (MAM, BB, DB, VD, GC, OZ and AB). It is scarce, particularly in collectible condition. This denomination was originally twenty soldi but was reduced to 17½ soldi in 1617. It was struck until the collapse of the republic in 1789.
