The catalog description^[1] noted, "Venezuela. 1983. 100 bolívares. 200º Aniversario del nacimiento de Simón Bolívar [200th anniversary of the birth of Simon Bolivar]. AG. Proof." The coin shown is a 1983 100 bolivares struck in Werdohl (Germany). It accompanied a gold 3,000 bolivares (KM Y59).
