Valencia 1688 dieciocheno rev DSLR.jpg

The kingdom of Valencia, part of the Aragonese inheritance, occasionally received separate coinage until its dissolution in 1714. Cayón lists this type of Charles II in round ("redonda") and cob ("recortada") formats, with the round format being rare. No "redondas" are recorded for 1688. This type was struck intermittently 1681-99. It is listed in the SCWC as a real but is closer in weight to a half real.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver.

Catalog reference: Cayón-7263, KM-47.
