Utrecht 1697 gulden
The first specimen was lot 1370 in Jean Elsen sale 111 (Brussels, December 2011), where it sold for 160 euro (about US$246 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NEDERLAND, UTRECHT, Provincie, AR Nederlandse 1 gulden, 1697, Droit : Nederlandse maagd met speer en vrijheidshoed. Revers : Gekroond Generaliteitswapen. Mooie patina. goede Zeer Fraai. (Netherlands, province of Utrecht, silver Dutch gulden of 1697. Obverse: Hollandia holds a spear in the left hand; reverse: crowned arms of the generality. Nice patina, good very fine.)"
The second specimen was lot 2164 in Sincona sale 11 (Zürich, May 2013), where it sold for 250 CHF (about US$310 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted,
"NIEDERLANDE Utrecht, Provinz 1 Gulden 1697. Kl. Schrötlingsf. Fast vorzüglich. (Netherlands, province of Utrecht, one gulden of 1697, choice extremely fine.)"
This type was struck starting in 1697 and all the way thru the eighteenth century.

Specification: 10 g, 0.900 fine silver, .289 troy oz ASW, the first specimen 10,43 g, the second specimen 10.47 g.
