This specimen was lot 31197 in Heritage auction 3096 (Dallas, TX, March 2021), where it sold for $1,680. The catalog description[1] noted, "Uruguay: Republic gold Proof Pattern "Hydroelectric Dam" 100 Nuevos Pesos 1981-So PR62 Ultra Cameo NGC, Santiago mint. Featuring a hydroelectric dam amidst watery fields, this scarce gold commemorative issue exhibits an attractive yet hairlined surface. From the Paramount Collection." This is a pattern version of KM 80 (12 g, 0.900 fine silver, m. 25,000). The gold version actually produced and sold was denominated N$5,000 (KM 81).
