This specimen was lot 58597 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "URUGUAY. Nickel 5 Centavos Pattern, 1899. NGC MS-63." This five centavos design was not adopted but strongly resembles that later used on Portuguese coins.
