Sincona sale 102, lot 5557

This specimen was lot 5557 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$302 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ. Uri. Kreuzer 1622, Münzstätte Altdorf. Stempelbruch über dem Wappen. Schön-sehr schön. Exemplar der Slg. Zuberbühler, Auktion SINCONA 16, Zürich, Oktober 2013, Los 6126. (Switzerland, canton of Uri, kreuzer of 1622, Altdorf mint. Die break above the coat of arms, Fine-Very Fine.)"

This type was struck 1622, 1624 and 1627 and is very scarce, verging on rare. One thaler was ninety kreuzer.

Specification: 1.5 g, copper, 18 mm diameter, this specimen 1.09 g.
