Uri 1621 dicken
This specimen was lot 5170 in Sincona sale 68 (Zürich, October 2020), where it sold for 5,500 CHF (about US$7,241 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SWITZERLAND | Bern | Stadt und Kanton, Dicken anderer Münzstände mit Gegenstempel 1621, Altdorf/Bern. Urner Dicken 1621 mit Gegenstempel Bär auf Vorderseite. Sehr selten. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. Überdurchschnittliche Erhaltung. (city and canton of Bern, dicken of 1621, struck in Altdorf but with a Bernese counterstamp on the obverse. Very rare, Very fine-extremely fine, Extraordinary condition.)"
The host coin is a 1621 dicken of Uri (KM 19) struck 1617-22.
