United States 2025-D quarter KM-810
The American Women quarters program commenced in 2022. The designs for 2025 honored Althea Gibson, Dr. Vera Rubin, Ida B. Wells, Stacey Milburn and Juliette Gordon Low, shown here. The James Flanagan bust of Washington was dropped in favor of one done by Laura Gardin Fraser, whose design was originally selected in 1932 for the quarter but was rejected by the secretary of the Treasury. Juliette Gordon Low (1860-1927) was founder of the Girl Scouts.
Recorded mintage: 130,200,000 at Denver plus 200,400,000 at Philadelphia plus clad and silver proofs from San Francisco.
Specification: 5.67 g, copper-nickel clad copper, 24.3 mm diameter, reeded edge. The reverse was designed by Eric David Custer and Tom Hipschen.
