This specimen was lot 1363 in Künker Auction 425 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €650 (about US$921 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"MÜNZEN UND MEDAILLEN AUS ÜBERSEE · VEREINIGTE STAATEN VON AMERIKA, Föderation. 5 Dollars 1844, Philadelphia. Liberty. 7,52 g Feingold, GOLD. Sehr schön, Aus der Familiensammlung Mohr. (United States, five dollars of 1844, Philadelphia mint. Very fine.)"
This type was struck at Philadelphia 1839-65 with additional contributions from New Orleans, San Francisco, Charlotte and Dahlonega. This is an uncommon date.
