This specimen was lot 3445 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "UNITED STATES: AR half dollar, 1821, Capped Bust type, a few small bumps and a scratch near the chin, original toning, VF." This issue is among the more plentiful of the early date bust half dollars but is less common than the later date issues (1823-36). This specimen has not been attributed by Overton number; specialists are invited to submit their opinions.
