This specimen was lot 3516 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $89.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "TUSCANY: Ferdinando III, 1791-1801, AE soldo, 1791, large dig at left obverse, one-year type, Fine to VF, RR." This is a scarce date of an otherwise common denomination. It is listed in the SCWC as a three quattrini but the word "SOLDO" is boldly stamped on the obverse. Twenty soldi made a lira or 1½ paoli, and ten paoli made a francescone.
Recorded mintage: 12,000.
Specification: copper.
Catalog reference: Cr-31.
