This specimen was lot 3733 in Sincona sale 83 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 450 CHF (about US$602 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY, 50 Kurush 1293 H./Jahr 31, Qustantiniya (Konstantinopel/Istanbul). NGC MS63. Exemplar der Sultan Collection, Auktion Künker 199, Osnabrück 2011, Los 493. Das durch NGC höchstbewertete Exemplar (Finest certified by NGC)." This type, with "el-Ghazi" added to the sultan's titles, was struck years 7-34 in limited numbers.
