The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Mahmud II, 1808-1839, AV mahmudiye, Kostantiniye, AH1223 year 27, EF to AU, ex Ahmed Sultan Collection." This type was struck years 26-32 and superseded the hayriye altin and the adli altin. This type is not listed as expensive.
