This specimen was lot 687 in Stephen Album sale 37 (Santa Rosa, CA, June 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Abdul Hamid I, 1774-1789, AR 2 kurush (80 para), Kostantiniye, AH1187 year 16, decent strike, strong EF to AU." This denomination would steadily shrink until the reform of 1839, when it was fixed at the size of a dime.
