This specimen was lot 477 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Abdul Hamid I, 1774-1789, AR 20 para, Kostantiniye, AH1187 year 1, struck on special presentation large planchet, light surface hairlines, NGC graded Unc details." The first toughra (KM 366) was issued year 1 only; the second toughra (KM 387, shown here) was issued years 1-8 and the third toughra (KM 388) was issued years 8-16. The twenty para (half kurush) was a heavily used denomination and nice survivors are scarce.
