This specimen was lot 2332 in Stephen Album sale 37 (Santa Rosa, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $178.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Abdul Hamid I, 1774-1789, AR kurush (40 para), Kostantiniye, AH1187 year 1, lovely strike, NGC graded MS61." This type, catalogued in the SCWC as a piastre, was struck years 1-8 and is not listed as expensive. A variety exists (KM 368) with a different toughra on the obverse.
