The first specimen was lot 33353 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "Ottoman Empire. Mustafa I (1st Reign) akçe AH 1026 (1617/8) AU/UNC (very unevenly struck), Edirne mint (in Turkey). An only single-year type, the fields fully radiant with golden mint luster and the well-struck portions of the design deeply impressed." The second specimen was lot 33352 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "Ottoman Empire. Mustafa I (1st Reign) akçe AH 1026 (1617) AU Details (Environmental Damage) NGC, Constantinople mint (in Turkey). Minorly corroded but very well minted and perfectly centered, containing patches of red wine patina clinging to the devices, and both the mint and sultan's name ideally positioned in the middle of the fields." Mustafa's brief reign seems to have produced only akçe, which are recorded from seven mints.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Catalog reference: the first specimen: KM 22.7, A-1357 (RRR), Pere-387; the second specimen KM 22.3, A-1357 (RRR), Pere-388.
