This specimen was lot 52637 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $3,600. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY. 100000 Lira, 1982. PCGS PROOF-67 Deep Cameo. Featuring the seal of Muhammad and celebrating 15 centuries of Islam, this specimen radiates with great brilliance in the fields." As inflation ground away at the value of the Turkish lira, officials resorted to ever higher face value NCLT's to market their commemoratives.

Specification: 33.82 g, 0.917 fine gold, 1.00 troy oz AGW.
