This specimen was lot 42837 in Stack's Bowers Summer 2026 Global Showcase Auction (Pittsburgh, September 2026), where it sold for $2,562. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY. 250 Kurush, 1923 Year 39 (1962). Ankara Mint. PCGS MS-64. The finer of just two observed for the date in the PCGS census, and the only such Mint State example, this glossy near-Gem radiates with an astounding degree of dazzling luster in the fields. From the Charles “Cheech” Litman Collection." This type was struck years 20, 30-31, 38-87, and sold in the souks for jewelry.
