This specimen was lot 2185 in Sincona sale 59 (Zürich, October 2019), where it sold for 7,000 CHF (about US$8,478 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Tunisien, Ali Bei, 1299-1320 AH (1882-1902). 15 Francs / 25 Riyals 1891, Paris. Äusserst seltene Erhaltung. NGC PF66. (Tunisia, emirate of Ali Bey, 1882-1902, 15 francs/25 riyals of 1891, Paris mint. Extremely rare condition, proof.)"
This type was struck in 1891 in Paris for Tunisia and represents the transition from the old Ottoman style coinage to the decimal French system.
