Tunisia 1960 millim

This specimen is from a two year type issued by Tunisia in 1960 and 1963. It is one-thousandth of a dinar and one may assume that inflation, a curse of underdeveloped countries, put short shrift to this coin's utility. The simple design and cheap metal used suggests that the issuing regime did not expect a long life for this coin.
Recorded mintage: unknown but common.
Specification: 0.65 g, aluminum.
Catalog reference: KM 280.
