Transylvania 1696-FT 3 kreuzer
This specimen was lot 1900 in Sincona sale 59 (Zürich, October 2019), where it sold for 150 CHF (about US$182 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA, Leopold I. 1657-1705. 3 Kreuzer 1696 FT, Hermannstadt. Münzmeisterzeichen rechts und links des Doppeladlers. Sehr seltene Variante. Gutes sehr schön. (Holy Roman Empire, Leopold I, 1657-1705, three kreuzer of 1696, Hermannstadt mint. Mintmaster's initials to right and left of the eagle. very rare variety, Good very fine.)"
This type was struck 1696-97, soon after Transylvania's conquest by the Hapsburgs.
