This specimen was lot 30292 in Heritage sale 3089 (Dallas, TX, January 2021), where it sold for $8,100. The catalog description[1] noted, "Transylvania. George II Rakoczi Taler 1658-NB MS62 NGC, Nagybánya mint. Appealing for the type and preserving fully uncirculated details expressed to satisfactory clarity in Rakoczi's armor, beard, and headwear. A balanced steel tone contributes a sense of age and originality to this Mint State selection. From the Cape Coral Collection of European Crowns." This type is listed for 1656-58. A klippe version exists. A very similar thaler exists (Dav-4755) with a slightly different obverse legend.
