This specimen was lot 2803 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $84. The catalog description[1] noted, "DANISH INDIA: TRANQUEBAR: Frederick VI, 1808-1839, AE 10 kas, 1816, pleasing VF, R, ex Solar Collection." The Danish fort at Tranquebar was sold to the British in 1845. When the one and two cash were reduced in weight early in the eighteenth century, the four and ten cash were added to supplement the denominations. This type was struck 1816, 1822 and 1838-39. This specimen realized slightly over one-quarter of the catalog value.
