This specimen was lot 53506 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $6,600. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. Tibet. 5 Sho, BE 16-1 (1927). PCGS EF-40 Gold Shield. A wholesome, better date example of the type, with decent strike detail and medium to dark gray toning throughout. Ex: Nicholas Rhodes Collection." One srang = 6-2/3 tangka = 10 sho. This type was struck years 49-60 and 16-1 and shows the lion looking back over his shoulder. This example realized eleven times the catalog value.
