This specimen was lot 21524 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it sold for $1,527.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "TANZANIA. 10,000 Shilingi, 1998. NGC PROOF-69 ULTRA CAMEO. Serengeti Wildlife; Reverse: Lion, Cheetah and Zebra. Hard mirror fields with frosted cameo devices. Brilliant and highly attractive." This NCLT was accompanied by an extensive series of commemoratives, including 50,000 shilingi (5 oz gold), 250 shilingi (silver, KM 57), five different 500 shilingi (silver, KM 43, 48, 49, 50, 51) and nine different 2500 shilingi (silver, KM 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 52, 53, 54, 55).
